One, to demonstrate the value of being able to have a broader vision about the drivers and motivations of professionals, stakeholders and influencers where corporate security can play an enhanced role"

Two, to show that is only through networked sharing that the true value and potential of our proposed form of security can be realised through an organisation.

The authors provide "It is time to reconcile a number of opposing views and beliefs about the role of security. It is not simply cost of doing business, a boring necessity, a way to go get boxed ticked in frameworks of regulation an compliance"

Just to give you at least some idea what the book addresses, here are some of the questions answered in Chapter One (Security in Business - Cost or Contributor?)

How it can be seen as an elemental force positively influencing an entire corporate space? What is driving the development of views and what is the new universe going to look like? Some purists may find his simplification of the sometimes ornate, prayerful Sanskrit questionable, but for the average reader, Mitchell clarifies meaning without sacrificing beauty and emotional resonance: "Cut down this deep-rooted tree / with the sharp-edged ax of detachment: / then search for that primal Person / from whom the whole universe flows." It all translated in modern English that's very easy to follow along with

I have read many translations of the Bhagavad Gita including audible versions also. This was one of the easiest translations for me to read. It all translated in modern English that's very easy to follow along with, but not so translated that it took away from the original version of the Bhagavad Gita. The text within the book was a perfect size for the book as it was easy to read and follow along with. The book text looks like poems in a way and it something that can easily be read in one day, but there is so much knowledge within the text!

I enjoyed this book and found it very easy to follow. I especially liked the explanation of the three basic types of personalities and how each of us may be part of all three, yet dominated by one type. The poem reminded me of the Tao Te Ching in style, but The Bhagavad Gita used a metaphor in story form to explain how to understand oneself. Now that I have read this book I may look more into other teachings, such as, the Kaballah next. The use of the battlefield and conflict arising from people choosing to fight against members of their own family, provided an excellent backdrop for learning about Karma and the other beliefs of Hinduism.

Great way to understand the Bhagavad. Clear interpretation. It made the story interesting, and not about the poetry, which would have lost my interest.

Funny to think I've been buying this book for twenty years now. Any time I bring a copy to work, it 'wanders off'- this book is just catnip for tattoo lovers!
These days, the 'modern' tattooing section looks a bit dated, but the work is still gorgeous. And these days, I give copies as gifts...

I Can't Quite Get My Head Around This Book

I like tattoos, and I own a few tattoo collection books, but I'm not remotely an expert. Maybe that's why I can't quite see the organizing and collecting principle for this book. I'm not 100% sure of its purpose, other than to present some very cool ink. For that, it's just fine. I don't regret buying it; I'm just not enthusiastic about it.

This is one of my favorite books because it has detailed information gathered by Cayce in his trance-state, which reveal the origins of humanity and its various races. It is a pre-'Ancient Aliens' revelations book, about humanity's struggles back before societies existed. This story goes back to the spirit realms and explains how spirits became encumbered in the physical and how many attempts were made to 'rescue' them and return them to the spirit realm. It also reveals the life of Amilius from those beginnings in spirit through incarnations of this same being into the physical throughout human history. This story shows the folly of humanity, the mixing of the species and the separation of them through beautification temples in ancient times. This book does not destroy one's concept of 'religious belief' but enhances it through additional information that explains various details not otherwise known. After all, Edgar Cayce was a Sunday School teacher!
